Maternity leave includes time off for antenatal care, 26 weeks of ordinary maternity leave and 26 weeks of additional maternity leave. During your leave, Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) is payable for a maximum of 39 weeks. If you have 12 months’ continuous service you will receive a top up to full base pay for 16 weeks during your leave.

Fisher Investments Europe also offers both ordinary and additional paternity leave. Ordinary paternity leave allows employees to take either one week or two consecutive weeks of leave and they will be entitled to ordinary statutory paternity pay. Additional paternity leave can be taken up to a combined maximum of 26 weeks and the employee may be entitled to additional statutory paternity pay. In certain situations, you and your partner may have the option to take shared parental leave (SPL), which offers more flexibility in how to share the care of your child in the first year after birth.
