How your healthcare expenses are paid
Utilisation under the national public system, the CNS, is subject to partial reimbursement that you need to claim directly from the government. Be sure to bring your Social Security Card to each visit and save your original receipts.
Our private provider, DKV, works in conjunction with the CNS and offers additional reimbursement options for treatment received under the national system. The DKV Easy Health policy provides reimbursement for:
- Local and international inpatient hospital care
- Extra costs while in the hospital (such as telephone connection and hire of TV set)
- Outpatient treatment
- Routine medical care
- Alternative treatment (e.g. physical therapy and acupuncture)
- Prescriptions
- Dental treatment and orthodontic care
- Contact lenses or glasses (up to €500 every two years)
