Contribution Structure

The FIJ Retirement Plan is made of two parts, the corporate Defined Contribution plan (“DC plan”) and the Retirement Allowance Plan (RAP)/Taishokukin. Fisher will contribute 10% of your annual base salary to your retirement account: Up to the Statutory Cap of the DC plan and the remaining amount RAP plan with a cap of $25k USD. Employees may make voluntary contributions, up to the Ministry cap.

Who Can Enroll?

All full-time, permanent employees and directors under the age of 65 who are enrolled in Employee Pension Insurance.

25 August (JP) or 27 August (EN)Attend the Employee Briefing Session to learn more about Fisher’s new retirement program.
28 – 30 SeptemberReceive ID and Password at the employee’s home address.
1 OctoberLaunch of the DC!
After 1 OctoberSubmit 加入者資格喪失届 Loss of Participant Status Form to iDeCo provider to stop iDeCo contributions. Employees will no longer be able to contribute to iDeCo after October.
6 October (JP) or 8 October (EN)Attend the Employee DC Investment Education Session by Sompo.
24 OctoberSubmit the election of employee contributions through the Sompo Website (only for those whose annual base salary is below ¥660,000).
2 NovemberSubmit investment allocation selection for DC through Sompo Website.
25 NovemberPayment of company and employee contributions* to the employees’ DC account. *Employee’s voluntary contributions for October to be deducted from November salary.
No Specific DeadlineTransfer any assets from iDeCo.

Fund Information

Employees have nine fund options to choose from. If you do not make any investment instruction, the fund will be automatically invested in a prescribed default product (Sumitomo Mitsui DC Pension Balance 70) after four months of enrollment. More information about these funds will be available in the Investment Education Session, held by Sompo Japan DC Securities.
